The Mothwing Cloak is an Ability in Hollow Knight. It allows dashing forward a short distance.
Function
Press DASH to dash a short distance in the direction the Knight is facing. Can be used in mid-air. Refreshes when the Knight lands on the ground, takes damage, bounces off an enemy/object with their Nail, or clings to/jumps off a wall using Mantis Claw.
Allows the Knight to cross gaps too far to reach by jumping, and makes it easier to dodge enemies and their attacks.
Modifiers
Can be upgraded to the Shade Cloak.
The Dashmaster charm allows the Knight to dash more often, as well as dash downwards.
How to Acquire
Found on the body of a Vessel after defeating Hornet in Greenpath in the boss arena.
