Les Cartes et la Plume sont des objets dans Hollow Knight. Ces deux outils permettent de se repérer pendant l'exploration d'Hallownest.

Le Chevalier peut acheter une carte incomplète de chaque zone auprès de Cornifer. Si le joueur manque Cornifer dans une zone (il part généralement une fois que le Chevalier a battu le Boss de la zone), Iselda vendra la carte de cette zone à un prix légèrement plus élevé à Dirtmouth. Il faudra cependant que le Chevalier ait trouvé sa carte de visite (qui se situe là où il est censé être).

Le Chevalier peut voir l'ensemble de ses cartes en appuyant sur INVENTAIRE et en faisant défiler les pages pour arriver sur la page Carte. Il peut également appuyer deux fois rapidement sur CARTE plutôt que de naviguer dans l'inventaire. Maintenir la touche CARTE affichera une carte de la zone actuelle, si elle a été achetée auprès d'Iselda ou de Cornifer. Le joueur peut se déplacer en arrière-plan pendant qu'il utilise cette technique, bien qu'il ne puisse que marcher.

S'il souhaite compléter la carte, le Chevalier doit ensuite acheter la Plume, vendue par Iselda.

Si le Chevalier possède cet objet, qu'il s'est rendu dans une ou plusieurs salles qui ne sont pas cartographiées et qu'il s'assoit sur un Banc, la carte sera mise à jour, c'est-à-dire que les salles seront cartographiées. Les salles cartographiées par Cornifer sont affichées en couleurs plus sombres et avec des contours discontinus, tandis que celles cartographiées par le Chevalier apparaissent sous forme de segments colorés avec des lignes continues. La plupart du temps, entrer dans une pièce cartographiera toute la pièce sur la carte; cependant, certaines ne seront révélées que partiellement.

La carte du Collectionneur[]

Peut être acquis en haut de la Tour de l’Amour (après avoir vaincu le Collectionneur ), cet objet offre au Chevalier la possibilité de voir l'emplacements des 46 Larves sur la carte qui sont marqué par une épingle. Il fonctionne comme les épingles achetées dans la boutique d’Iselda.

  • Dans certaines zones, le Charme Boussole Murmurante indique que le Chevalier se trouve dans un endroit différent de celui qu’il devrait.
  • Le Palais Blanc et la Chercheur de Dieux Icon Maison des Dieux ne sont pas affichés sur la carte. Malgré cela, le jeu enregistre toujours quand un nouvel endroit dans ces zones a été découvert et annoncera une mise à jour de la carte si le Chevalier s'assoit sur un banc.
